Esenyurt and Alanya were the districts with the most housing sales in 2022

According to the information compiled from TUIK data, the number of districts with more than 20 housing sales last year was 598. As in previous years, Esenyurt was at the top of the list of districts with the highest sales in 2022. The number of house sales in Esenyurt was 36 thousand 315. In 2021, 37 thousand 102 houses were sold in Esenyurt. Esenyurt, Turkey's most populous district, has a large number of new constructions, being one of the districts receiving the most immigration, and housing more affordable than the city in general has brought the district to the fore.

While Antalya's Alanya district ranked 21st in sales last year, it rose to second place in 2022. After the Russia-Ukraine war, especially Russian citizens turned to housing investment in the city, which brought a record. The number of houses sold in Alanya last year increased by 119 percent to 26 thousand 193. While house sales in Turkey decreased by 0.4 percent in 2022, house sales to foreigners increased by 15 percent.
