Flights connecting Serbia to Alanya started

The first flight of AirSerbia, which will connect Serbian cities of Belgrade and Nis to Alanya, was made to Gazipasa-Alanya Airport. Carrying 144 passengers to Alanya, the Airbus A319 type aircraft was welcomed with a water show, which is an aviation tradition.

"It will increase the attractiveness of Alanya"

Alanya Deputy Mayor Fevzi Alaaddinoglu stated that the increase in flights to Gazipasa-Alanya Airport has increased the attraction of Alanya and that the realization of these flights will also increase the tourist demand to Alanya.

Serbian Honorary Consul to Alanya Oktay Karaca, who joined the first expedition from Belgrade, stated that the relations between Turkey and Serbia are developing day by day and that these expeditions will play an important role in strengthening the relations. Karaca said, “We made contacts to make Alanya a sister city with the Serbian city of Novi Sad. A city that last year became the European capital of culture. A city with so much potential. Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel was also there. Turkey-Serbia relations are at their peak. In October, the final signature that will remove the passport requirement between us will be signed," he said.

Expressing that the first plane is very important for Alanya and tourism, ALTID President Burhan Sili said, “Gazipasa-Alanya Airport is a place that should be used frequently in order for the guests to come to Alanya more comfortably and in a short time. Not only AirSerbia, but also the planes that will come here from Iran, Lithuania and different markets will contribute to the development of Alanya tourism both qualitatively and quantitatively.
