Influx of Tourists to Turkey!

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the number of visitors to the country in the January-August period of the year. Project Turkey hosted 32 million 500 thousand 190 visitors in the first 8 months of the year. The data announced by the Ministry revealed that Turkey's latest diplomatic move has begun to yield positive results.

The number of Israeli tourists coming to Turkey in 8 months increased by 377 percent compared to last year and exceeded 534 thousand. Developing diplomatic relations with Egypt and the United Arab Emirates had a positive impact on tourism. The number of tourists from Egypt approached 140 thousand in the first 8 months of the year. In the United Arab Emirates, 106 thousand 716 people were reached with an increase of 332 percent.

Germany Takes the Leadership

The number of foreign visitors in the first 8 months of the year, on the other hand, increased by 108.48 to the same period last year and reached 29 million 334 thousand 652. In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors to Turkey, Germany became the leader with an increase of 105.73 percent. Turkey hosted 3 million 850 thousand 816 German tourists in 8 months. While the Russian Federation ranked second with a 22.8 percent increase and 3 million 3 thousand 836 people, England ranked third with a 2,120 percent increase and 2 million 360 thousand 404 people. Britain was followed by Bulgaria and Iran.
