The number of tourists in Turkey has already approached 9 million

According to the statistics announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 7 million 477 thousand 47 of the visitors in the first 4 months of this year were foreigners.

The number of citizens residing abroad was 1 million 408 thousand 829. In the January-April period of 2022, the number of foreign visitors hosted by Turkey increased by 172.51 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors to Turkey, Germany took the first place with an increase of 339.81 percent, Bulgaria took the second place with an increase of 325.55%, and Iran took the third place with an increase of 236.77 percent. Iran was followed by the Russian Federation and the UK, respectively.
